Join us as the anniversary of 10/7 and Rosh Hashanah approach to build emotional skills and strategies together.

Join us for the Rise Above Workshop, a meaningful and healing event on the anniversary of October 7th, coinciding with the Jewish New Year of Rosh Hashanah—a time for reflection, renewal, and hope. This workshop is specifically designed for Jewish individuals who have been struggling with the immense challenges of the past 11 months, offering a space to process and heal in the community.

Co-facilitated by an extraordinary team:

  • Gina Ross, MFCC, Senior International Faculty for Somatic Experiencing (SE), author of the Beyond the Trauma Vortex series, and founder of the Ross Model for healing collective trauma, brings decades of experience in trauma healing. As the founder and president of the International Trauma-Healing Institutes in the U.S. and Israel, and co-founder of the Israeli Trauma Center at Herzog Hospital in Jerusalem, Gina is an internationally recognized expert on the impact of trauma in conflict. She has pioneered healing methods that address the role of trauma in conflicts between groups and nations, particularly in the Israeli-Palestinian context. Gina has integrated her expertise in cross-cultural issues to promote peace through trauma healing, working diligently to place trauma healing on the global agenda. www.traumainstitute.org

  • Malka Shaw, LCSW, founder of Kesher Shalom Projects, brings over 25 years of experience in the mental health field, with a specialization in trauma. Having worked with large-scale active trauma starting with 9/11, Malka has spent the last 16 years helping individuals and couples process trauma in private practice. She has developed and facilitated Continuing Education Courses for Mental Health Professionals, focusing on topics like Jewish trauma and identity. As the creator of the GUARD system for emotional aid and resiliency, Malka’s unique background in both trauma therapy and Jewish education puts her at the forefront of mental health and antisemitism. She has raised significant awareness about the psychological impact of antisemitism on the Jewish community and its broader implications for society. In this workshop, she will delve into how trauma and antisemitism affect Jewish identity, equipping participants with tools for resilience and healing.
