Meet the hosts

Jodi Taub, LCSW - A seasoned clinician with over 27 years of experience, Jodi is a specialist in treating diverse mental health challenges, including trauma, PTSD, mood disorders, anxiety, and chronic illness. With a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Loyola University Chicago and post-master’s certification in School Social Work, [Name] has worked in schools, psychiatric hospitals, foster care systems, and private practice.

Since 2007, Jodi has employed evidence-based modalities such as ACT, CBT, MBCT, and MBSR to support children, families, adults, and couples. An expert in chronic illness and medical trauma, [Name] emphasizes the vital connection between mental and physical health. Contributions to the Immune Deficiency Foundation include authoring patient resources, leading support groups, and participating in mindfulness-based clinical research.

Malka Shaw, LCSW - founder of Kesher Shalom Projects, brings over 25 years of experience in the mental health field, with a specialization in trauma. Having worked with large-scale active trauma starting with 9/11, Malka has spent the last 16 years helping individuals and couples process trauma in private practice. She has developed and facilitated Continuing Education Courses for Mental Health Professionals, focusing on topics like Jewish trauma and identity.

As the creator of the GUARD system for emotional aid and resiliency, Malka’s unique background in both trauma therapy and Jewish education puts her at the forefront of mental health and antisemitism. She has raised significant awareness about the psychological impact of antisemitism on the Jewish community and its broader implications for society. In this workshop, she will delve into how trauma and antisemitism affect Jewish identity, equipping participants with tools for resilience and healing.

Julie Riga, MBA - brings her expertise in leadership, team dynamics, organizational development, communications, and executive coaching from her 25 years in the corporate world. Julie will guide participants in self-care, conflict resolution, and mastering the stories we tell ourselves to shape our emotions and actions.

Together, this powerful team has created a transformative program that draws inspiration from the messages of Rosh Hashanah, providing an interactive experience for building resilience and emotional preparation.
