Rabbis, Educators, and Kiruv Professionals: A Skill Building and Burn-Out Support Group

6 Weekly Sessions every Thursday at 11AM EST starting on the week of September 10, 2024.

Since October 7th, our world has been turned upside down, and you've been at the forefront supporting everyone amidst this surge of antisemitism. We've all felt a profound sense of insecurity and burden. As someone in your vital position, navigating through these turbulent times must have felt surreal and exhausting. Now, it's crucial to prioritize your own self-care.

This group aims to blend essential training in emotional first aid and resilience-building with the creation of a nurturing and safe environment for you to recharge. Your facilitator has over 25 years of experience in mental health, including working with large-scale traumas such as 9/11 triage and crisis support. Since mid- October, she has also been instrumental in training mental health providers, offering guidance on how to best support their Jewish clients during this period of uncertainty.

  • Understanding how countertransference affects your role as a leader and helping professionals.

  • Recognizing trauma responses and their effects.

  • Gaining deeper insight into Antisemitism targeting identity destabilization.

  • Acquiring grounding skills that you can use for yourself and apply to your clients, students, or congregants.

  • Exploring approaches to addressing the topic of seeking professional help when it becomes necessary.
